Hello!

This blog began as a way of documenting the ephemeral experience of undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy degree. As I near the end of my research project, you’ll now find a mixture of sporadically updated scribbles on coffee, books, publishing, research and travel.

About me: Publishing | Research

I work at Penguin Press as an Editorial Assistant – a division of Penguin Random House that includes the non-fiction imprint Allen Lane and Penguin Classics. I’m also completing a doctorate degree at the University of Oxford and I’m a Reader for Granta Magazine. Previously, I’ve undertaken internships at Profile Books, Oneworld Publications, Granta and HarperCollins, as well as founding the digital publication Noise & Silence.

I was born in the same Parisian town as Claude Debussy, grew up in rural North Wales and started out as a harpist. I’m now based in East London.
