Trip to Paris!

A trip to Paris, research or otherwise, always needs an exclamation mark!

I’ve been lucky enough to receive the Jenkins Memorial Scholarship for a research trip to Paris next year, taking place from January – April 2015. The Europaeum’s prestigious Jenkins Memorial Scholarships, founded in 2003, supports Europaeum university graduates to study for one year at Oxford, and provide one award per year for an Oxford postgraduate to study abroad. More info here and here!

I’m going to be working with Dr Sylvie Douche, alongside her team of doctoral students, as a visiting doctoral researcher at the Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris-IV). I’m really excited about looking into archival material at the Bibliothèque nationale de France and elsewhere, as well as networking with Parisian scholars working in my field.

I’m also super excited about living in Paris for nearly 4 months… Bring on January!  Only 11 weeks to go #bonjourParis
